Rabbit Rescue and Rehoming
RSPCA Norfolk West Branch
We generally have rabbits of all ages, including kittens, waiting for a good home.
All rabbits have had a full teeth check.
All males over 14 weeks old and females over six months old are neutered.
All rabbits are vaccinated against myxomatosis.
Nearly all will hand feed by the time they are ready for rehoming.
We always try to be open and honest about the history of our rabbits.
Wherever possible we rehome in pairs or multiples or to make up pairs with existing rabbits.
The RSPCA encourages all rabbit owners to follow the FIVE FREEDOMS.
If the rabbits are to be housed outdoors then we insist on a minimum sized hutch of 5ft x 2ft x 2ft plus a permanent attached run or similar.
If the rabbits are be rehomed as houserabbits we insist on a safe, secure environment. We do specialise in houserabbits so please phone us for advice.
We have advice packs available in up-to-date rabbit care. Information in these packs come from RSPCA, Rabbit Welfare Association and veterinary leaflets/booklets. If you would like a pack please see the details on our HOME PAGE.
We are pleased to share our knowledge and experience with others in order to promote the care and welfare of rabbits, but if you suspect that your rabbit is unwell then you should seek qualified veterinary advice immediately.
